The Order of Daily Service is a book that provides a complete guide to the daily services conducted at the Abbey Church of St. Peter in Westminster, as they were performed in 1844. The book includes the musical notation used during these services, as well as the lyrics to the hymns and psalms that were sung. The author, Edward F. Rimbault, is an expert in musicology and has provided detailed explanations of the various musical elements used in the services. The book is a valuable resource for those interested in the history of religious music and the liturgy of the Anglican Church. It is also useful for musicians and choir directors who want to learn more about the musical traditions of the Abbey Church of St. Peter. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
