This is a record of an oration delivered by Junius Smith before the Society of the Cincinnati in Hartford, Connecticut, on July 4th, 1804. Entitled An Oration, Pronounced At Hartford, Before The Society Of The Cincinnati, For The State Of Connecticut, Convened To Celebrate The Anniversary Of American Independence, July 4th, 1804, the speech commemorates the anniversary of American independence and reflects on the values and sacrifices made during the Revolutionary War.
