Oratio De Biponto, Veteris Olim Comitatus, Nunc Ducatus Bipontini Metropoli is a historical oration by Johann W. Cnefelius, focusing on Zweibrücken, also known as Two Bridges, the capital of the former County and later Duchy of Zweibrücken. Likely delivered in the 16th century, this work provides valuable insights into the history and significance of the region during that period. The oration serves as a fascinating glimpse into the cultural and political landscape of Zweibrücken, offering a unique perspective on its role as a prominent metropolitan center. This work will appeal to scholars of European history, classical rhetoric, and anyone interested in the historical context of Zweibrücken.
