This study investigated the effectiveness of using the Internet on the achievement and the attitudes of EFL learners. The purpose of the study was to determine whether teaching English via Internet to first grade intermediate female students in Jeddah affected their achievement and attitudes. The subjects of the study consisted of 36 first grade intermediate female students. The results of the pre-tests indicated that the two groups were homogeneous. However, the findings of the post-tests indicated that statistically significant differences were found in the overall achievement of the language abilities and the language components in favor of the experimental group. T-test results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in the speaking and reading abilities. The study also revealed that the experimental group students had positive attitudes towards the Internet. The recommendations of this study included the need to expand the limited use of computer and the Internet technology in Saudi schools.
