Set against the festive Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata, 'Once Upon a Rhyme: Tales from Bengal...Reloaded !' is a novel of intrigue and fantasy. It consists of nine folktales that provide a glimpse into the magical world of noble kings, evil ministers, conspiring queens, birds that talk and horses that fly. Moreover, the presence of ghosts (and there are quite a few of them!) inject an extra dose of adrenalin to the already exciting stories of 'Good over Evil'. The book is written entirely in verse to add an extra layer of innocence and charm to these stories of deceit, love, valour, fear, friendship and suspense. ....Bunty invites you to his Granny's famous story-telling sessions....and this time it's extra special - Goddess Durga has arranged for Her children Saraswati, Lakshmi, Ganesha and Kartik to be a part of them....and Granny is all set to transport the readers and the listeners into a magical world, as she slowly starts
...Once upon a time, in a faraway land,
Past long beaches of clear white sand,
Beyond dense jungles - lush green,
Across, not one, but rivers, thirteen...
Way beyond, seven harrowing seas,
Past the land of tall coconut trees;
Across mountains of mist and snow,
Way past the horizon, many a rainbow,
Beyond valley of flowers, wild, bright,
And Bamboo groves, fireflies at night...
