Once I Was a Dream follows Munni, a young physics student whose world collapses after the death of her grandmother, Nani-the one person who made it feel like home.
When Munni loses her grandmother, her home, and the life she thought she understood, she begins searching for an explanation in the only language she trusts: physics. Through lecture notes, dreams, memories, and fragments of her own story, she tries to understand the strange gravity of grief-and what it means to lose someone without losing their presence.
But her search takes her somewhere far beyond physics.
As Munni works through her trauma and grief, she begins to question the nature of reality itself, arriving at a radical possibility: perhaps the universe did not create consciousness. Perhaps consciousness created the universe-and every living mind is a moment in which the dream briefly realizes itself.
A philosophical work of fiction about grief, memory, physics, and the possibility that losing everything may be the beginning of awakening.
