ONCE A PROSTITUTE, NOW A PROPHETESS
I thought perhaps I should wait until I had been in ministry for twenty years. Until my past was so far behind me that no one could see it anymore. Until the woman I used to be was completely unrecognizable, buried so deep that not even I could find her.
But God, in His characteristic refusal to cooperate with our timelines, spoke to me clearly in the early hours of a Wednesday morning. He said: Write it now. While the wounds are still fresh enough for people to see that they were real. While your tears are still close enough to the surface that those who are still in the pit can hear your voice echoing from inside it, not from far above.

This is a work of narrative nonfiction. Some names and identifying details have been changed to protect the privacy and dignity of individuals. But the bones of this story, every moment of despair, every encounter with God, every miraculous turn, is true. It happened. I lived it.
I am not writing this to scandalize anyone or to trade on shock value. I am writing this because I believe, with every fiber of my redeemed being, that there is someone reading these pages right now who needs to know that God has not given up on her. That the life she is living is not the final verdict. That the labels the world has placed on her are not the labels heaven uses.
You are more than what you have done. You are more than what has been done to you.
And you, too, can be transformed.
