Olof Olsson: The Man, His Work And His Thought is a comprehensive biography of the influential Swedish-American Lutheran theologian and pastor, Olof Olsson. Written by Ernst William Olson, a fellow pastor and colleague of Olsson, the book provides a detailed account of Olsson's life, from his upbringing in Sweden to his emigration to the United States and his work as a pastor in various congregations. The book also delves into Olsson's theological views and his contributions to the development of the Augustana Synod, a Swedish-American Lutheran church body. Olson examines Olsson's work as a writer and editor, including his role as editor of the Swedish-language newspaper Hemlandet, which was widely read by Swedish immigrants in the United States.Throughout the book, Olson provides insights into Olsson's personality and character, drawing on personal anecdotes and interviews with those who knew him well. The book also includes a selection of Olsson's writings, allowing readers to gain a deeper understanding of his theological ideas and perspectives.Overall, Olof Olsson: The Man, His Work And His Thought is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Swedish-American Lutheranism, as well as those interested in the life and work of Olof Olsson, one of its most prominent figures. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
