Old German Love Songs: Translated From The Minnesingers Of The 12th To 14th Centuries is a book that features a collection of love songs originally written in Middle High German by the Minnesingers, a group of German lyric poets who flourished in the 12th to 14th centuries. The book is translated into English by Frank C. Nicholson, a scholar of German literature. The love songs included in the book are representative of the Minnesang tradition, which celebrated courtly love and chivalry. The book provides a glimpse into the romantic ideals and sentiments of medieval Germany, as well as the literary and musical traditions of the time. This book is a valuable resource for scholars of medieval literature and music, as well as anyone interested in the history of love and romance. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
