Of Magical and Kabbalistical Degrees in Freemasonry is a book written by Arthur Edward Waite, a renowned scholar of occultism and esotericism. The book explores the mystical and magical aspects of Freemasonry, particularly the higher degrees that are often overlooked in mainstream Masonic literature. Waite delves into the symbolism and significance of these degrees, drawing on his extensive knowledge of Kabbalah, Hermeticism, and other mystical traditions. The book is divided into two parts. Part one provides an overview of the history and philosophy of Freemasonry, including its origins in the medieval stonemason guilds and its evolution into a modern fraternal organization. Waite also discusses the various degrees of Freemasonry, from the Entered Apprentice to the Master Mason, and their symbolic meanings.Part two of the book focuses on the higher degrees of Freemasonry, which Waite describes as magical and kabbalistical. These degrees include the Royal Arch, the Knights Templar, and the Scottish Rite. Waite explores the esoteric symbolism and rituals of each degree, drawing on his extensive knowledge of occultism and mysticism.Throughout the book, Waite emphasizes the importance of understanding the spiritual and mystical dimensions of Freemasonry. He argues that these higher degrees are not simply historical artifacts, but living traditions that offer profound insights into the nature of reality and the human condition.Overall, Of Magical and Kabbalistical Degrees in Freemasonry is a fascinating exploration of the mystical and magical aspects of Freemasonry, written by one of the foremost scholars of occultism and esotericism.THIS 62 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Secret Tradition in Freemasonry, by Arthur Edward Waite.
