The Odd Fellow Or The Secret Association is a novel written by J.H. Ingraham. The story revolves around a secret society called the Odd Fellows, a group of men who are dedicated to helping each other and the community. The protagonist, Frank, is a young man who is initiated into the Odd Fellows and soon becomes involved in their secret activities. As he rises through the ranks of the organization, he discovers dark secrets and conspiracies that threaten to destroy the society from within. Along the way, Frank also falls in love with a beautiful woman who is connected to the Odd Fellows in mysterious ways. The novel is a thrilling tale of mystery, intrigue, and romance, set against the backdrop of a secret society that holds the fate of its members in its hands. For a moment Peter's head was giddy with the vision presented to his ambition and pride. The idea that his wife might become a countess, and his son a lord, dazzled him! But it was only while the titles were tinkling in his ears. The schoolmaster, in his threadbare coat before him, had first to become an English Earl before these dazzling dreams would be realized; and when he thought how little probability there was of that, he laughed with a sardonic aspect, and said contemptuously. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
