The course of our lives is largely determined by our everyday decisions which are often informed by our perception of ourselves, of others, and of God. The totality of these perceptions ultimately determines our perspective, the lens through which we view ourselves as well as the world around us. Since our perception is tantamount to our reality, to the degree that the enemy of our souls can distort our perception, he can influence our perspective which drives our thoughts and actions. This book explores how he used the power of perception to effectuate the transformation of ancient Israel from a theocracy to a monarchy and how he currently appears to have commandeered the worldview of a large segment of the population in the United States. It also examines the role of perception in our relationships with others as well as with God. Finally, in an effort to demonstrate that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, it relates a modern-day David and Goliath story.
