In one unforgettable midnight conversation, the family dog shares his thoughts with every member of the household - his complaints, his gratitude, and his honest observations about the people he loves. By morning, however, no one is quite sure whether the night's events were real... or simply a shared Christmas dream.
Warm, humorous, and tender, Nita's Wish is a timeless holiday tale about childhood wonder, imagination, and the special bond between children and animals. Written in 1947 as an eighth-grade composition by Mary Dorris Audino and preserved by her family, this story carries the authentic voice of youth and the enduring magic of Christmas across generations.
Perfect for family reading, this nostalgic story reminds us that sometimes the most meaningful moments are the ones we almost believe.
