Nick Jolly (a.k.a. Santa Claus) loves children and toys, but there's something else he loves just as much-professional basketball. A die-hard fan of the New York Flyers, he plans his annual Christmas delivery route so he is home in his New York penthouse in time for the big game on Christmas Day. But the problem is, the Flyers have been on a long losing streak and are at risk of being sold to Las Vegas. When the owner's grandson, Martin Irvin, asks Santa to help save the Flyers, Nick takes on the challenge-he loses weight, gets in tip-top shape, and clinches a walk-on guard position. With an amazing ability to get the ball in the basket, Nick defies the skeptics and helps the Flyers work together to become a winning team.

All is going to plan, until Nick finds himself falling for Martin's mother, Madison Irvin, who is also the Flyers' manager. As Nick preps for the annual Christmas delivery, he is torn between his duties at the North Pole and his promise to Martin and Madison to help the Flyers win their most important game of the season on Christmas Day. Defying sabotage, calamity, and blizzard conditions, Nick must renew his faith in the spirit of Christmas like never before and find a way to save the Flyers from being sold AND fulfill the dreams of the world's children.
