What we say matters.
Sometimes more than we ever realize.
At Redfield Primary School, Jim Carter is known by everyone-but not for the reasons that matter. Confident, intelligent, and admired by some, he uses his words carelessly, never stopping to consider the impact they have on others.
George Hobbard is quiet, thoughtful, and determined to succeed. But each day, he carries the weight of words that slowly begin to shape how he sees himself and the world around him.

George Hobbard is quiet, thoughtful, and determined to succeed. But each day, he carries the weight of words that slowly begin to shape how he sees himself and the world around him.
Years later, their paths cross again in a way neither of them expected.
What follows is a powerful reminder that the way we treat people never truly disappears-and that kindness, even when delayed, has the power to change everything.
Perfect for readers aged 7 and up, this story explores empathy, growth, and the lasting impact of our choices.
