The poems contained in my book that reflect abusive situations are followed by response poems. I hope that the response poems provide spiritual inspiration for those who have or who are presently suffering some form of abuse. There are many children in the world who are abused and neglected. Some situations are known to child welfare agencies, and some are not. Those who are not known sometimes suffer in silence and may believe that their situation is unique. I am sure that some readers will recognize similar situations described in these poems. It is hoped that individuals will realize that a solution cannot always be found through humanity.
