Has your little one always fed to sleep?
Perhaps you're beginning gentle night weaning, hoping to break the feed-to-sleep association, or wondering how to help your toddler fall asleep without breastfeeding while still feeling safe, loved, and connected.
If so, you're not alone.
Inspired by my own gentle night-weaning journey, I first created this story for my own son. After seeing how much it helped our family, I wanted to share it with other families navigating the same transition.
No More Booby to Sleep is more than a bedtime story-it's a gentle companion for families navigating night weaning, feed-to-sleep associations, and new bedtime routines.
Drawing on my background in yoga, it gently weaves slow breathing, body awareness, and simple visualisation into a comforting bedtime story, helping little ones relax while creating new bedtime associations. These calming, age-appropriate practices encourage relaxation, support emotional regulation, and offer a gentle way to wind down at the end of the day.
This book isn't about leaving children to cry.
It isn't about rushing independence.
It's about helping children learn a new way to fall asleep while preserving the closeness, reassurance, and connection they need.
Whether you're gently reducing night feeds, beginning breastfeeding weaning, transitioning away from nursing to sleep, hoping to break the feed-to-sleep association, or simply looking for a calm and connected bedtime routine, this story offers a gentle, responsive approach that keeps your relationship with your child at the heart of the journey.
Every family is different. Some enjoy reading the whole story each night, while others return to the breathing, body relaxation, visualisation, or favourite pages that feel most helpful that evening. There is no right or wrong way to use this book. Follow your child's lead and choose what feels right for their age, stage, and the time you have together.
May these pages bring your family many peaceful nights, warm cuddles, sweet dreams, and the confidence to trust your own gentle weaning journey.
