Excerpt: Long ago, the Dragons banished the Archfiend Vazdah, one of the evil deities, deep beneath the Earth, and Alexei, one of Vazdah's Four Greater Fiend Lords, and Master of Lightning, was trapped in a neverending sleep. Several milleniums later, Dagra Dai and Elizebet broke Alexei's seal in what would be known as Manhattan, New York. Perched atop the Statue of Liberty, Alexei turns the entire city into a Fiend's paradise. To further his power, he casts a spell on the Statue of Liberty. As the Dragon Ninja approaches, Alexei takes Ryu to a warped space and battles him to the death. However, Alexei is no match for the power of the Dragon Sword, Alexei plummets, silently cursing the Dragon Ninja. Resurrected in the Underworld, Alexei kidnaps Sonia and traps her in a giant bird cage. As he is reveling in Sonia's distaste towards him, Alexei snaps when he senses Ryu Hayabusa enter the Abyssal Underworld and attempts to kill him, only to fall victim to the might of the awakened Ryuken.
