When his elderly father is killed in a hit made to look like an accident, Army Lieutenant Eric Embrecht doesn't wait for the police to catch up.

With his karate instructor Pahka at his side, Eric starts working his way up the local syndicate's chain of command - one dangerous man at a time - toward whoever gave the order. A police detective who suspects exactly what Eric is doing can't stop him, and the woman who loves him won't stay out of the danger no matter how many times he tells her to.

As the trail leads higher and the stakes get sharper, Eric discovers that the people around him aren't always who he thinks they are - and that justice, once you start collecting it yourself, has a way of demanding everything you've got.
