New Mayflower is a provocative and meticulously researched work that argues for the peaceful secession of states from the United States as a means of preserving American constitutional principles. Author Keith Simpson traces the historical trajectory of American identity from the Pilgrims and Founding Fathers through the twentieth century, demonstrating how progressive ideology has systematically dismantled the Judeo-Christian foundations, limited government, and individual liberty that defined the nation.
The book is structured in four parts. Part 1 examines American identity through the centuries, celebrating the faith, self-reliance, and humility of early Americans from the Mayflower Compact through World War II. Part 2 analyzes how Enlightenment philosophy and progressive doctrines-including relativism, Darwinism, and Marxism-eroded traditional values and captured American institutions. Part 3 documents the current New Reality of federal overreach, including Darwinian judicial philosophy, religious discrimination, unsustainable debt, welfare dependence, Obamacare, tax tyranny, bureaucratic bullying, and business hostility. Part 4 presents the New Mayflower Strategy (NMS)-a three-part plan for state secession, sovereignty, and refounding America through constitutional amendments.
Simpson proposes specific amendments to restore limited government, including measures for environmental protection, religious freedom, elimination of income taxes, responsible spending, congressional review of court rulings and regulations, and election integrity. The book combines historical narrative, political analysis, and constitutional theory to make its case for what the author terms a national divorce aimed at reconciliation rather than destruction.
With a foreword by attorney and pastor Robin Walter, New Mayflower contributes to emerging discussions about federalism, state sovereignty, and the future of American governance. It is dedicated to the author's children-Aaron, Andrea, and Alaina-with the hope they will live in a free America.
