There is a new and revised version of Christianity which some are referring to as The Nephilim Conspiracy. It is based on one verse in Genesis 6 - a bizarre passage about sons of God copulating with daughters of mankind to produce the mighty men of old. The theory involves a virtual rewrite of the history of the universe, from creation to the present. It purports to expose 2000 years of virtually universal misunderstanding and misinterpretation of what the Bible really teaches or how it should be understood, ostensibly perpetrated by the church and Christian theologians and seminaries, down to the present time. As articulated by its most prominent proponents, Timothy Alberino (author of the book Birthright) and Dr. Michael Heiser (author of The Unseen Realm), to accurately understand our traditional Bibles we have to look to many nonbiblical sources. That includes not only Apocryphal and Pseudepigraphical sources, but Pagan sources as well, such as Graeco-Roman mythology and Ugaritic texts, which they maintain are more truth than fiction. According to them, such sources provide the context to accurately interpret scripture, especially such obscure passages as Genesis 6:4. Of course other biblical texts are selectively included and reinterpreted to support their theories and updated theology, in particular Psalms 82:1 & 6, Deuteronomy 32:8, and Genesis 10-11 (the genealogies). The result is in reality a rather comprehensive makeover of Christianity and Christian theology, to include our understanding of the spiritual versus material realm, the natural versus the supernatural, the origin of our universe and our world, the nature of heaven, the true Gospel, and biblical end-time prophecy (Eschatology). An underlying premise is that our canonical Bibles (66 books) are woefully inadequate, and in many instances misleading, or inaccurate to understanding the truth, without significant revisions and interpretations based on the extra-biblical sources, as well as modern secular scientific theories (such as Evolution). Thus, these modern-day prophets are finally providing enlightenment to bring us into the 21st century, with respect to cosmology and revised Christian Theology and Eschatology - or not.
