The Neapolitan Lovers is a novel written by the renowned French author, Alexandre Dumas, in 1917. The story is set in Naples, Italy, and follows the lives of two young lovers, Mario and Giulia. Mario is a poor fisherman who falls in love with Giulia, the daughter of a wealthy merchant. Despite their different social backgrounds, the two are deeply in love and dream of a life together. However, their love is threatened by the jealousy of Giulia's ex-lover, a wealthy nobleman named Don Gaspar, who is determined to win her back at any cost. Don Gaspar's schemes to break up the couple lead to a series of dramatic events, including a duel and a kidnapping. As the story unfolds, the reader is taken on a journey through the colorful streets of Naples, experiencing the sights, sounds, and traditions of the city. The novel is filled with vivid descriptions of the city's landmarks, such as the Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and the Castel dell'Ovo. The Neapolitan Lovers is a tale of love, jealousy, and adventure that captures the spirit of Naples and its people. It is a timeless classic that continues to captivate readers today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
