Tom Cintula is a poet and writer from Staten Island, NY who has four full-length poetry collections such as Sonnetsphere, Sirius and Anathematic Darkness, and Adventures Aren't Always Fun, with chapbooks entitled Chameleon and Tornado. This is the image of a heart, half broken and another half of one. This image was created as a symbol of what unrequited means to me. Since the heart is incomplete, the volume is unfulfilled and somewhat broken. Therefore, it can't be whole. It takes two people for one union. Two pieces of this heart can't go together if they are shaped this way.
