Having been born & brought up in Evesham I obviously have a special affinity for the Vale & it's countryside.I have spent many happy hours walking the country lanes & footpaths, enjoying the local flora & fauna, the landscape& scenery & the people living in it. This is my attempt to describe my feelings for the area & it's wildlife.It has been influenced by two special literary figures from the past. Richard Jefferies, the Natural History writerfrom Coate in Wiltshire & John Clare, the Peasant Poet from Helpston in Northamptonshire.How I found these two I don't know, but they have also proved a constant source of inspiration to me. I hope they would approve of my attempts to bring my feelings of the wonders of Nature to a wider audience.
