Today marks the first anniversary of my mother's death. During this past year - right after her passing - I began writing this book, hoping to release it on this very day. It has been a difficult year, but I wanted to do something unique, something lasting, so that her name would remain among us forever.

I never imagined I would write such a sorrowful book - a collection devoted entirely to the pain and death of my mother. It feels like planting a tree without a plan, building a palace with bricks made of the hardest pain in the world, or painting with the fingers of death. What immense agony must have inspired this book!

Each title in the collection reflects a moment - a fragment of my mother's life and suffering. I always dreaded the news of her passing. I would tell myself, I hope I never hear it from anyone.

Fortunately, God loved me: I was the first to know - and the last to feed my mother, offering her food and drink with my own hands. That was our final meeting. So I made myself a promise: to write a book about her. To pay tribute to her endless suffering. To ensure that her name will live on forever.
