My Life's Details: A Story of Grit, Passion, and Honor.
My Life's Details chronicles Chris Funk's distinguished service in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Secret Service. Agent Funk served on the prestigious Counter Assault Team for numerous details to protect world leaders, high profile dignitaries, and former/current U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald J. Trump. During his illustrious 25-year career in the USSS, Agent Funk also investigated organized crime syndicates resulting in many Federal convictions.
Chris Funk's compelling autobiography includes the milestones that made him an exemplary family man and patriot. Despite growing up with personal loss and hardships, Chris felt passionately that country comes first. On his eighteenth birthday, he enlisted, thereby delaying his collegiate studies, to volunteer as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. Chris' honorable service included a tour in northern Iraq in 1991.
After serving in the military, Chris earned a B.A. in Political Science from Salisbury State University (SSU), where he also helped the SSU Seagulls football team reach a bowl game as a formidable linebacker. In later years, he earned a M.A. degree in Homeland Security from the American Military University.
Chris Funk's life is a story of grit, passion, and perseverance that enabled him to serve his country and protect some of the most powerful leaders of the free world.
