At the bottom of the official looking paper was a signature. It had been very legibly written. The signature was that of James Crow Foot. Is your name James Crow Foot? He gave a weak nod of his head in the affirmative. One half section, it was my fathers. You can have it. Bury me there. He pleaded. He died before the first light of dawn. Soon after first light I examined the official looking paper and discovered a hand drawn map on the back of it. There was a town or something identified as Muddy Creek which was a days ride and the plot of land looked to be another days ride from there.
