Igor V. Soporenko is a documentary filmmaker. Born in Moscow. He worked as a journalist and film critic for Moscow magazines and newspapers. In 1990, the Sverdlovsk Film Studio used his screenplay to make the documentary film Salt of the Earth. He has been in the US since 1992. He is a producer and director. He taught a seminar on the history of Russian and Soviet cinema for several years at universities in Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
He is the author of the films: Tribal Nations: The Story of Federal Indian Law (2006); Russian Feminism: Twenty Years Forward, (2009); and The Russian Concept, (2010).
Игорь Витальевич Сопроненко, кинодокументалист. Родился в Москве. Работал журналистом, кинокритиком в московских журналах и газетах. По его сценарию в 1990 году на Свердловской киностудии был снят документальный фильм Соль земли. В США с 1992 года. Продюсер, режиссёр. На протяжении нескольких лет преподавал историю русского и советского кино в университетах Кентукки и Пенсильвании.
