Rush Morrow was a man who saw, understood and wrote about the majesty of God. After serving his country during World War I, he typed news for a Detroit paper. Sadly he would not pursue creative writing until he was in his 70's. Why would a man start writing prose and poetry so late in life? Some think he wrote because he had to. But in all reality, it was his way of taking all that he had experienced in life and making sense of it. God blesses athletes; they run. God blesses musicians; they play. God blessed Rush; he wrote. He wrote beautifully, and all who read or listen to it are blessed. He also deeply treasured and loved Vi, his devoted wife of 39 years, who edited Rush's poems for the CD. Because of his deep humility, his pleasure in this project would most likely have been seen in a twinkle of his eye rather than a grin.
