I had been challenged by some friends of mine to get up early and walk with God. God was revealing Himself to my friends as they walked with Him, so believing there may really be something to that, I accepted the challenge myself. My alarm woke me at what seemed to be an ungodly hour, and then with shoes tied, I set out believing God would reveal Himself to me as we walked together. Like Enoch, I wanted to walk with God and have Him speak to me. What I found were mulberries! The road I traveled that summer was lined with mulberry trees.
