Mise en Scène is more than a collection of poems, it's a journey. As you move through the book you will not only get a deeper understanding of the writer of this book, but you will also get a better understanding of who we are as well. The subjects range from love to sex to heartache to spirituality and self-affirmation. You'll not only partake in the reading of these poems you will become a part of them. You'll see yourself reflected in the lyrical words and you'll feel a closeness to the verse that almost seems unreal. The writer talks to you not down to you. And when you are done, you'll wish there was another volume of his poems to read. A great freshman effort from an up-and-coming self-styled poet. You'll find this book very thoughtful and engaging. I know I did.
