Mercy Evans, born Lisa Grey, spent years being abused and molested by her step father, Ross MacLaine, before finally escaping his cruel attentions. For seven long years she hid from him, never staying in one town for very long. She moved all over the country, until one day, in Salem, Indiana, everything changed. She was going through the mail when she came upon a strange parchment. Upon opening the parchment she found herself no longer in 2015, but in 1355 Scotland, somewhere between Ullapool and Inverness. Mercy meets the MacMillan clan, who have sworn to rid Ross MacLaine and his ilk from existence. Coll MacMillan, Laird of the MacMillan clan, promises to keep her safe as long as she is with him. As Mercy grows closer to Coll and his family she winds up getting pulled through time again by Ross and landing in 1916, during WWI. She spends a short time there before finding her way back to 1355, where she makes a confession to Coll before being kidnapped by a woman she thought she could trust, and taken, yet again through time to 1895. While in 1895, Mercy travels from the Scottish Highlands to Fairbanks, Arizona, and back again. Through Mercy's travels you find that she struggles to overcome her own fears and stay strong through it all. Mercy learns that there are rules to time travel, more rules than even Coll knew. I invite you to come along with me as I weave the tale of triumph, loss, deceit, and adventure through the ages in a spell binding novel; Mercy In Time.
