Memoirs Of Chaplain Life is a book written by William Corby and originally published in 1893. The book is a memoir of Corby's experiences as a chaplain during the American Civil War. Corby was a Catholic priest who served as a chaplain in the Union Army, and his memoir provides a unique perspective on the war and the role of chaplains in it.The book is divided into chapters that cover different aspects of Corby's experiences, including his early life, his decision to become a priest, and his experiences as a chaplain during the war. Corby writes about the challenges he faced in ministering to soldiers on the front lines, as well as the emotional toll that the war took on him and his fellow chaplains.Throughout the book, Corby provides vivid descriptions of his experiences, including the battles he witnessed, the soldiers he ministered to, and the friendships he formed with other chaplains. He also reflects on the meaning of his work and the role of religion in times of war.Memoirs Of Chaplain Life is a valuable historical document that provides insight into the experiences of chaplains during the Civil War. It is also a compelling personal narrative that offers a glimpse into the life of a man who dedicated his life to serving others. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
