In his children's story MEETING SOMEONE SPECIAL, M. H. Henty touches a sensitive and vulnerable part of our hearts, a part that seeks to know that we have a purpose in life. As we all struggle with understanding our value as a person, the author recounts a story about a nine year old boy named Rufus who is demeaned by a bully. Rufus tells his story with a candor, honesty and humor that delves poginantly into our hearts. Traveling a road within himself Rufus embarks upon a journey of self-discovery guided by a caring teacher and a wise grandmother. This journey is one of ultimate celebration of a person's uniqueness and individuality. It is the author's hope that every child and adult who reads this book will be able to smile with knowing satisfaction and enduring joy that they are a gift to the world from God.
