I've compiled this book, my first, of a few poems I've written. Some are from when I was younger. Others have been written as recently as the writing of this description in September 2022.
These poems, some of my life experiences, others written because my heart or mind needed these things to be said. I say that because a couple were actually written just for fun. But once the words start, sometimes it's hard to stop. Even writing the fun ones, I feel a sense of, 'that needed to be said'.. at least for me.
My poems will have you exploring with me: love, family, life, death, hate, greed, self-doubt, hope, pain, fears, mental illness, and laughter. Each one that I wrote helped me heal from a situation, or sometimes just something I was struggling with, or care about, but wasn't able to put into generalized words. Sometimes, poetry just says it all, feels it all.
Find one that touches your heart or soul. Use it to get to the next day. Would love to know which one(s) you choose, and maybe we'll find out others have felt this way too.
