Man Made is a speculative novel set in the near future. Milo, a cyborg aligned with rebel causes, pursues a third way, something he hopes will allow society to overcome the stalemate it finds itself. It is a stalemate that allows the government to manage the populace with advanced artificial intelligence, social media, and surveillance tools. Readers will recognize many of these techniques, and will likely be disturbed by the overarching control and dystopian reality they create. Milo's odyssey stretches human comprehension and explores surreal realms of experience. These inquiries provide insights into what it means to be fully human and awakens a desire to live authentically. But, these insights also carry stark questions for people in the book we have come to know, and care deeply about.
