Nima writes intensely about his past experiences, places he has lived, or visited, the feel, the textures, the mood, in such fascinating detail and somewhat intoxicated prose that reading them makes one feel not only there in person, but there in emotion and passion. He has an ongoing column entitled what I have learned that continues his tradition of not just making a statement on lessons he feels he has learned in his life, but somehow manages to entice you into them in a very intimate, and personal way. He is not shy about sharing his feelings, and bravely goes to places many people may not feel comfortable going. He refers to his writings as late night drunk gibberish not worthy of a print. In this, he is wrong. These are the latest of some of his pieces that we, his friends, pressed him to publish.
