The Invitation Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2: 6-8) The Mystery is the gateway to understanding the Grace of God as taught in the New Testament. From the beginning of time, God had a secret...a mystery which for ages has been hidden in God (Ephesians 3:9). Jesus, while dying on the cross, said, It is finished. He said this knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled (John 19:28-30). Now, at that very moment, something was made complete that was incomplete before. Now, something was finished that was unfinished before. It has now been revealed to His holy apostles and [New Testament] prophets in the Spirit [this] mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men (Ephesians 3:3-6). Today's contemporary church has lost touch with the knowledge of this mystery and, as such, has abused Grace and short-changed Faith. Possessing this full knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 1:3) will cause you to never stumble (v.11) as you become a mature man to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). God had something better for us (Hebrews 11:40). Come and see what it was and is!
