My name is Philip Baker, and I am a proud Army Veteran and author of My Pet Pebbles. This is my second book following my first, My Pet Pixie . I was personally motivated to write these children's books about my pet chihuahuas because of the impact they had in my life as a civilian. I've dealt with many disabilities in my life after the military, and my pets have helped me in so many ways. It's amazing the power animals have on humans that are hurting. I lost my Pixie to illness in 2020, leaving my only chihuahua Pebbles. After writing a book about Pixie to keep her memory alive, I had to write about Pebbles, because she is still here with me and continues to help me in my life. Pebbles is so special to me that I wanted to share her with you like I did Pixie. They both mean the world to me and I thought the whole world would appreciate them like I do.
