MY LIFE AS AN EDSEL is the story of a man who spent decades driving his life with enthusiasm wildly out of proportion to his navigation skills.
Greer Firestone built companies, staged musicals, raised money, raised eyebrows, and survived two divorces, two arrests, and enough reinventions to fill several lifetimes-plus a few he probably wasn't qualified for.
From the anti-war protests of 1968 to a six-month hitchhike across Europe, from building an Earth Shoe empire to standing atop the Great Pyramid, from interviewing a young Joe Biden to rafting the Colorado River and wandering the world in search of meaning, Firestone barrels through triumphs, breakdowns, and the occasional spiritual fender bender with humor, candor, and hard-earned perspective.
Part memoir, part social history, part comic confession, MY LIFE AS AN EDSEL is not a redemption story. It's a salvage story-proof that even a discontinued model can rack up surprising mileage.
The Edsel didn't die.
It became folklore.
So did Firestone.
This is the owner's manual.
