In My Eclipsed Star, poet Colleen Griffith invites readers on the intimate and intense journey of trying to grow her family. Griffith takes the reader's hand through the landscapes of the longing, daydreaming, and heartbreak many families go through to have a baby with fertility treatments. With a voice that both screams at and begs the gods, she captures the essence of a tumultuous journey through grief and false acceptance to healing and hope that her family will find their would-be baby, their little star.
From passionate poetic prose to biting verses, each poem in this collection takes the reader out of a dark depression into the light. Griffith's evocative imagery creates a tapestry of raw emotions on her family's journey that will linger in the reader's mind long after the last page is turned.
