My Days and Dreams is an autobiographical account by Edward Carpenter, a prominent British socialist and writer of the late 19th and early 20th century. The book chronicles Carpenter's life from his childhood in Brighton to his experiences at Cambridge University, his travels throughout Europe and Asia, and his involvement in the socialist and gay rights movements of his time. Carpenter's writing is characterized by its progressive and visionary outlook, and his memoir is no exception. Throughout the book, he reflects on his personal growth and political beliefs, discussing his views on topics such as gender, sexuality, spirituality, and the environment. My Days and Dreams is a fascinating glimpse into the life of a pioneering thinker and activist, and a testament to the power of self-reflection and personal transformation.1916. This work contains autobiographical notes Carpenter began in the summer of 1890. These notes, in a very casual way, and with long intervals in between, were continued down to the time of this work. It is composed in a somewhat disjointed fashion and the discerning reader will perceive slight differences in style and outlook in its different portions. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
