In 2008, the author was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a blood plasma cancer. This book chronicles the author's battle - to include the times prior to diagnosis, the diagnosis itself, the treatments (four cycles of chemotherapy followed by one high dose cycle and an autologous stem cell transplant), and the recuperation period following all treatments. Since 2009, the cancer has been in complete remission.
