Learning the violin can be approached in different ways, the manner I am proposing here is inspired by my personal experience based on folk music.The apprenticeship of an instrument can be compared to the apprenticeship of a foreign language. To start with, you learn words and expressions and you try to imitate the accents and the tone to be able to express yourself in this new language. The violin being an instrument of expression, permits you to start in the same fashion.
