Mutations, Variations and Relationships of the Oenotheras is a book written by D.T. Macdougal in 1907. The book is a comprehensive study of the Oenothera plant species and their variations, mutations, and relationships. The Oenothera plant, also known as the evening primrose, is a genus of flowering plants that are native to North and South America. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which focuses on a specific aspect of the Oenothera plant. The first chapter provides an overview of the history of the plant and its early research. The second chapter discusses the morphology and anatomy of the plant, while the third chapter delves into the genetics and heredity of the plant. The fourth chapter is dedicated to the variations and mutations of the Oenothera plant, including the famous case of the Oenothera lamarckiana, which played a crucial role in the development of the concept of mutation. The fifth chapter focuses on the relationships between different species of Oenothera, and the sixth chapter discusses the geographical distribution of the plant. Throughout the book, Macdougal provides detailed descriptions and illustrations of the plant and its various characteristics. The book is a seminal work in the field of botany and genetics and has been widely cited and referenced in subsequent research on the Oenothera plant. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
