This compilation of prose and poetry illuminates my effort to survive in an uncertain and often violent environment.

Whether you have lived a similar existence, have a loved one who has, or work in a profession of helping others, there are lessons to be learned within. These poems translate the pain of a harsh reality into separate concrete building blocks for a strong foundation.

My ultimate goal is inspiring others through my words and experience of overcoming adversity with dignity and courage. This book is my attempt to make a difference.
