After much pushing and encouraging, I managed to get my father to write what he knows about our family heritage. Initially, I was more interested in hearing about my grandfather, Reginald Kilbey, who was a famous musician and had an amazing career in the music business - from playing for Elgar to working with The Beatles - such diversity. However, Dad went the extra mile and took it upon himself to really research the Kilbey family and managed to go back 8 generations to the late 1700's. So as not to lose all this information and hard work, Guy and I thought it was appropriate to publish it for all to read, and future Kilbey generations to add to the story. Dad, thank you (and I know Mum will have done equally as much work in the background).
