Gowlitrot the Mushroom Knight swiftly returns home to the gnome Kingdom of Glöd to officiate an esoteric ritual to elicit healing for the urban-ecosystem he is sworn to protect. Ere long the call to questing sings to him for the third time, luring him back into the Grey Wastelands of 1990s Philadelphia to bravely hunt for answers to a deadly conspiracy threatening his fae society. Nearby, thirteen year old Lemuelle Clemmons prepares anxiously for the end of year talent show at her school while continuing the search for her lost dog, Beans. But there, over in the shadows, a skulking nightmare dark and hairy and full of teeth sets forth upon a hunt of their own. The moonlight flickers against long black claws... while something screams in its rabid jaws.
