In the adult world, pumpkins do not grow on tall trees. In Mr. Umgawa's world, they do. Mr. Umgawa, with his Magic Pencil, writes stories that both children and adults enjoy, Joseph created this story with his wife Linda while they were on a vacation trip to Canada. The story takes you on a creative adventure to Mr. Umgawa's place in Idaho. Take time to dream and imagine a world that is filled with possibility. This is a story about a Pumpkin Tree and a little girl named Katie who becomes its guardian. A treasured story of tradition-and a coming together of friends and community. The magic pencil will take you on an adventure...and it all starts with a Pumpkin Tree.
