The Mosaic Record: In Harmony With The Geological is a book written by James Sime in 1854. The book attempts to reconcile the biblical account of creation with the emerging scientific understanding of geology. Sime argues that the geological record does not contradict the story of creation in the Book of Genesis, but rather provides evidence for it. He suggests that the six days of creation in Genesis should be interpreted as long periods of time, rather than literal 24-hour days. Sime also discusses the flood described in Genesis and argues that it was a real event that caused significant geological changes. The book is a product of its time, reflecting the tension between religious belief and scientific discovery in the mid-19th century. It is a valuable historical document that sheds light on the intellectual climate of the era. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
